Slow Turkey

I'm not exactly obsessed with Slow Turkey's commercials, but I must admit I am fascinated by him. There is something about his movements that are absolute replications of the way a turkey moves. Of course, turkeys don't mow the lawn, for example, but if they did, this is how they would do it.
The other day I had driven to Lowe's to buy mice provisions (for their demise), and on the way home, as I crested  a curve on Farm to Market Road, there before me in the road was Slow Turkey. He was crossing from the left side of the highway, and taking the slowest, most deliberate steps that only a turkey can take, one foot before the other. I beeped the horn, and that turkey speeded up, just as in the commercial, a sight to behold.
Yesterday, we visited Dave in VHV, and in the interest of conversation, I took a chance and asked him if he'd seen the Slow Turkey commercials. He instantly smiled and said, "Yes, it's very clever." And that it is---clever.
