Winding Down Everywhere

 There is the oddest little flying creature on the phlox, in last 2 pictures.   It hangs in place like a hummingbird, but does not seem to have a bird beak.  But it moves so fast I can hardly see it. And

it's colorful.  N.B. Update:   Research tells me this is a Hummingbird Moth.
