Tuesday is the eve of Wednesday Eve, the day before the trash cans are put out for Thursday collection. That is the prevailing cycle of life. Thursday, after pick-up, the cans are returned to their resting place. Friday is the day after that, then the weekend, leading to Monday, a day before the routine resumes.
